Southern Area Interbranch Competition
This is an annual Obedience competition between B.A.G.S.D. Clubs in the Southern area. Each club has a team of 6 dogs over 3 classes, i.e. 2 Pre-Beginners, 2 Beginners and 2 Novice. (Clubs can enter more than one team if they wish.) Each dog then competes with other dogs within their class i.e. all the Novice dogs in one ring etc.
Points are then awarded for places. Dog placed 1st 1 Point 2nd Dog 2 points etc. the team with the least amount of points overall wins the competition and hosts the event the following year! Rosettes are given for the first 4 Teams and 1st -6th place in the classes.
The event is a great opportunity to meet and compete against other BAGSD club members and dogs within the Southern Area. Members are encouraged to come along even if they are not in a club team or haven’t taken part in an event like this before. There will be a ‘starters’ ring for individuals who would like to experience and have a go in a competition ring. The ’starters’ class results will be an individual achievement and have no bearing on the overall winners of the main competition.
