Important News ~ training update!  (posted 08/09/2021)

We are resuming training in the hall at Darby Green ( GU17 0NP) on Thursday 9th September for the first time since mid March 2020. We will try to make it as normal as possible but there will be some rules to follow due to Covid.
We ask you to make use of the hand gel available and to wash your hands frequently. Mask wearing is not compulsory but we will support anyone who decides to wear a mask.

Toilets are set up with a view to one in , one out. There is new signage on the toilet doors.

Whilst social distancing is not obligatory chairs in the hall will be spaced to allow a bit more room between handlers as we understand some individuals may feel more vulnerable. We ask members not to enter the hall until the previous class has finished and entry will be through the front door and exit through the emergency doors at the end of each session.
Tea and coffee will be served in our dedicated club cups but only Dave will be allowed in the kitchen unless help is asked for or an emergency occurs.

All dogs that previously attended Club should come along to their original class and all new dogs to Pre Beginner unless already advised otherwise. We have no idea how many of you will turn up. If you can it would be useful if you could let us know of your intentions.

We will not be holding any Progress tests this year but our trainers will assess dogs in their classes and if at the correct level suggest dogs and handlers move up to balance up numbers if necessary.

Don't forget, if you want to train and haven't yet renewed your membership for 2021 then you will need to do it through Dave before you can work your dog on the floor.

We ask you to bear with us for a few weeks whilst things get sorted and we settle down but hope you still find training an enjoyable experience.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back!

Recommence Training 2021  (posted 30/08/2021)

After a long absence, it is hoped that Training at club will recommence on Thurs 9th Sept.  This date will be confirmed by 3rd Sept.  Please refer back to this notice for confirmation.

The club committee will be meeting on Thurs 2nd Sept to discuss how we can provide our training, safely, whilst continuing to follow all guidance and rules with regard to the Covid pandemic.

Please turn up initially at the time your last class was before the closure due to the pandemic. If you haven't renewed your membership you can do this on your first night.

Fun Agility sessions restart Sunday 5th September at 1000am. Please remember that the grass may be wet from the heavier dews in the autumn and we advise you to bring a folding chair for your comfort.

If you have any questions regarding recommencement of training please contact Dave Napper in the first instance on  01189 734 741 or at  [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

IMPORTANT NOTICE ~ CORONAVIRUS (posted 19/03/2020)

After careful consideration , listening to government guidelines , advice from

BAGSD and other organisations we have taken the unprecedented step of cancellation all training at Camberley BAGSD until further notice.

This decision hasn't been easy and hasn't been taken lightly, the hall hasn't closed yet but a lot of hirers have cancelled. We have a number of people who, attend club who are in the vulnerable group and we need to think of and protect them.

We have no idea how long this current situation is going on for but believe me, we will be back as soon as it is safe to do so and we hope you will all return with your dogs.

Below is heartfelt thanks received from one of our 2019 sponsored charities.

PRE - SHOW info ~

Sunday , July 14th 2019 will see us at probably our biggest event of the year , our Companion Dog Show. This is what the bulk of the money we give to charity at the end of the year comes from. Things are pretty much in hand with a week to go. We have all our judges and stewards, we have the licence , rosettes and trophies are ready for collection and Sue is busy working on the necessary paperwork that makes the Show run smoothly.

If any body still wants to sponsor a class for prizes or trophies( suggested min. £5) then there are still a number unsponsored. Dave is always looking for tombola/raffle prizes or anything else you think he might be able to sell. Any cakes , home made or shop bought can be brought along to the Show to be sold with teas and coffees . The biggest help needed always is for setting up first thing Sue will open the gates at 0900 and clearing up and packing away at the end. If you have nothing else to do , come along to the Show enter a few classes , buy a burger or hot dog , have a go on the tombola and you have contributed to the success of the Show.

For those of you who haven't been before , you can bring your dog along at any age but they must be 6 months to enter. We have 5 pedigree classes , 13 novelty classes and 4 obedience classes , plus a fastest recall between 1400 and 1500.

Thank you from Hurst Show and Country Fayre :

" Hello!

We hope you have recovered from a long hot weekend! You definitely had
the best day to join us!

We wanted to write and thank you for one again providing us with a
great agility display and for letting the visitors have a go too, you
are one of the staples of the show! It was lovely to see the crowd you
had!  Please pass on our thanks to all of those that come to join you
to do the display.

Despite the crazy temperatures on Saturday we think we will have had
another great year in terns of visitors and (fingers crossed) money
raised for local good causes. Without all our attractions we would not
have the visitors that we do... .. so thank you again!

The show will be the last weekend of June again so the 27th and 28th
June 2020... please pop the date in your diary! :-)

Lisa and Suzy
And all the Hurst Show and Country Fayre committee x "

Weather Disruption ~ training update 01/03/2018

Unfortunately we have decided , due to the snow this morning and a lot more promised later , to cancel tonight's training and progress tests.
The plan is to move every thing by one week. Pre Beginner and Beginner Progress will now be on 8th March and Novice on 15th March. Puppy class will proceed as normal on these dates.
Sorry for the disruption but it is out of our control.
